Can You Really Mail a Coconut?

It says on www.wisegeek.com, "Believe it or not, the USPS does allow ordinary citizens to mail a coconut without any additional packaging required. The USPS views a coconut as a self-contained unit................It is just as easy to mail a coconut as it is to ship a standard package or crate."

We decided to test it for ourselves. Mostly, Aaron thought it would be hilarious to have his Dad open up their mailbox and find a coconut sitting in it.

The results.........It worked! Unfortunately for Grandpa Bruce it came $3.50 COD. Apparently three stamps was not enough!

T Ball Picture Day

Go Rhinos! Red & Grey! Owen got his T Ball shirt and hat today, met his team mates, and got his picture taken. We were so proud of the way he listened to his coach and the photographer. We can't wait to see the pictures!

House Arrest

It has been a long stretch at the Gallagher-Gray house. Both Aaron and Owen came down with a nasty stomach flu - vomiting, diarrhea. Owen lost nearly 5 pounds in 5 days. The doc recommended we stay in for a full week after Owen was symptom free for 3 days to give his body time to recover. During this time, we were supposed to encourage "restful activities," well, it is very hard to get a little boy to be still once he starts feeling better! We did our best with novel toys, arts n crafts, and Thomas the Tank Engine.

Owen playing with magnets

He was calling his creations Christmas ornaments!

Arts N Crafts with Mommy's punches

Aaron got desperate and busted out the Lionel O scale Thomas the Tank Engine Train set. Owen hasn't stopped talking about it!

Check out, The Face of Thomas portrayed by Owen, on you tube!
