This weekend, I was thrilled to hear Owen say, "Excuse me" when trying to gain my attention during an adult conversation!! Proof that he does hear my words occasionally!

Pumpkin Patches

We had the pleasure of visiting two pumpkin patches this Halloween season. Earlier this month we popped in to Fog Willow Pumpkin Farm, a family tradition for us. We stumbled upon Fog Willow our first Halloween after moving into our current home. We loved it and have been back every year! Secondly, our friends Scott, Amber, Sklyar, and Ethan invited us to Dave's Pumpkin Patch. Dave's was super fun too! Owen rode a pony for the very first time and we all had a blast in the hay and corn mazes.

Pumpkin Painting

Harvest Festival

Our local harvest festival is always held the first weekend of October. It is one of our family traditions to attend. It really kicks off the holiday season. We weren't sure if we would make it this year due to our Disneyland trip, I'm so glad we did. The weather was lovely and we got to spend some time with our good friends, the V-4.

Disneyland

We spent 4 nights and 5 days in Anaheim, California for Aaron's 30th Birthday. Three of the 5 days was spent in Disneyland theme park and California Adventure! This was Owen's first visit to Disneyland!

Aaron's best friend, and "brother from another mother," Sonny, and our nephew Jackson joined us, making the trip truly special for Aaron's birthday and Owen's first visit. We had so much fun!

O--W--L

We did a short unit on Owls at preschool this week. Owen LOVED it! I think it is because the first two letters in owl are the same as in Owen. He figured out how to spell it immediately. For days after school was over he pretended to be the teacher and tell me about the owls. His favorite is the snowy owl. He'll spell, "O--W--E--N likes O--W--L!"
